Actually you’re not the only one. I’m pretty much used to FT and its fanservice. But having Natsu touching Lucy’s body so much this chapter made me uncomfortable. It was a bit too much. Someone else…

Idk maybe he’s just a guy that realizes the world might end soon and wanted to grab some boobies just incase it does.
Who knows maybe hiro is thinking that way :P

Well… that still doesn’t make it okay. 

a) Lucy is in the same situation as Natsu. She’s well aware of how dire the situation is at the moment and it wouldn’t be okay if she grabbed his ass just because she wanted to ‘grab some ass just in case’. In fact, it could be argued that Lucy is in a more traumatic situation than Natsu since she’s currently naked and in danger. He doesn’t have the right to humiliate her further.

b) It’s Lucy’s body and she never gave any sort of consent (in fact she explicitly told him to look away). Natsu doesn’t gain the right to touch her body just because he’s in a dire situation. The very definition of sexual abuse is:  ”the forcing of undesired sexual behavior by one person upon another”. It’s never okay even in a shounen manga (which a lot of young boys read and learn from). 

 

^ This. Saying that this would be excusable because he wants to touch someone’s breasts before the world ends… That’s completely treating Lucy as an object and as a tool with which to reach his own means, without taking Lucy’s feelings and agency into consideration. She’s a person, not a prize or an experience.

And I do worry that reading things like this could influence  some people to take sexual harassment less seriously.

oh okay lol I’m sorry maybe you both might of taken it the wrong way. I  just meant not to take it so seriously, when I first read it I just thought it was comic relief nothing more. After all this is more of a fun manga
